27. VILLA BIAS
Rehabilitation and extension of the ruins of a rural building.
Landscape restrictions: to preserve the pre-existing architectural shapes.
Modification of the internal partitions, both vertical and the horizontal.
Preservation and reinstatement of the ancient structure.
Highlighting of the new interventions (both enlargements and reconstructions) through the use of diverse materials (generally coarse materials that result in chromatic variations over time without degrading) together with innovative technology (iron ceiling and panelled ceiling shuttering).
Creation of a formal unit (based on the image of the old main farmstead) despite the heterogeneity of the building solutions adopted, the different architectural choices overlapping over time, and the discontinuity of the uses.
